Alberuni’s full name was Abu Rehan Muhammad bin Ahmad al-Badruni. Alberuni was born in Khwarism in 973 AD. Khavarism is currently in Uzbekistan.

It was a Persian scholar, writer, scientist, theologian. Albruny came to India with Mahmoud Ghaznavi. This is called the first knowledge of Indian history.

Alberuni had compiled a book titled Book-ul-Hind (day of India) in 1030 AD. He was killed in Ghazni (Afghanistan).

Albruny wrote 146 books, of which the names of the chief are as follows:

Albaruni says that Brahmins of India are scholars, but they have coup-manduta. They do not have contact with foreigners, they only tell their area, their religion, their culture as best.
