Pravarsena–II was 20 years old when he ascended the throne. For some time he received the help of his maternal grandfather Chandragupta–II, but after his death he assumed the independent weight of the rule.
Several copper letters of Pravarsena-II have been found, but no one is aware of his military victory. Therefore it seems that he did not attempt to expand his empire. He was a ruler of literary interest. Who composed the Prakrit poetry book called Sethubandh.
The details of Lanka and victory of Ram are preserved in it. He was the vaishhanav religious. At the End of his ruler, Pravarsena established a new capital called Pravarapur, where he shifted his capital from Nandivardhan, formerly his capital.
Her son Narendrasen was married to Ajitbhattarika, the princess of the kadambas. It was possibly the daughter of Kadambnaresh kakutsavarman. His Reputation increased. Pravarsena-II reigned until about 440 AD.
