Rudrasen II

After Prithvisen-I his son Rudrasen-II(385-390 AD) ascended the throne. From this time the influence of the Guptas on the vakatakas increased. Rudrasen-II came under the influence of his Father-in-Low Chandragupta-II, left his kulaagat shaiv religion and adopted vaishnav religion,which was the religion of Chandragupta.

Vakatak-How was the Gupta Relations.

Unfortunately Rudrasen-II died at the short age of about 30 years.At the time his two sons Divakarsen and Damodarsen Minors. Thus Prabhavati gupta became the patron of the vakatak state.
