Buddhist Vihar

The Prayer places or monasteries of Buddhist Matanuayayiyon have been called Vihar. The Vihar have a Buddha statue. Vihar are the places where Buddhists monks reside.

In higher education, subjects other than religious subjects were also taught, and its center was the Buddhist Vihar. The most famous of these Vihar was the Nalanda University in Bihar.

Other education centers were Vikramshila and Uddandpur. They were also in Bihar. Students from far and wide, even from Tibet, used to come to these centers. Education was provide her free of coast. The Vihar is located a few kilometers from Sanchi And is considered one of the important tourist places of Madhya Pradesh. The vihar has the remains of Satadhara Stupas. All the remains are preserved in a glass chamber on a platform in the inner chamber of the Vihara.
