All people can believe in Jainism. But Jainism has two communities (branches).

Two branches of Jainism-

  1. Digambar (Samayya)- Bhadrabhu and his followers were called Digambar, they were called Southern jains. Tirthankar of Digambar class remains naked People of this branch basically give up on exile and penance by sacrificing garments in their peak condition based on unbridhip and sacrifice. People of this class consider themselves four directions.The social person can not adopt such a difficult rule in his everyday life.
  2. Shwetambar (TERPANTY)- Sathbahahu and his followers were called Shwetambar.  People of this class wear white clothes and keep the clothes on their mouth. Eat food before sunset.

Differences in Shwetambar and Digambar-

  • Digambar is necessary for liberation in Digambar, but there is nothing like this in Shwetambar class.
  • In the Digambar sect, the omniscient God is able to attain Kaivalya only after becoming knowledgeable.
  • Digambar denies liberation in the community. Whereas salvation in the Shvetambar has been accepted.
  • In Digambar, Tirthankara Mallinath is said to be a man. Whereas, in Shwetambar Mallinath has been accepted as Mallikumari.
