Apart from the above mentioned major temples, Mukund darra (kota darra) temple has been received from kota, Rajasthan. Which can be considered as a prime example of early gupta temple. It is built on a high rectangular platform. On which steps are made to climb. its sanctum rests on four pillars, and has a pillared mouthpiece in front of it.
Gupta temples are the oldest structural temples made of bricks and stone. They are small in size. These include square sanctum and small size pavilion. In which there was no place for the worshipers to sit. These are different from pre-medieval temples, in which uttung peaks and huge pavilions were made. Stills, it seems from the seeing the Devgarh temple, that the transition to the peak and pavilion style had begun.
