This inscription is obtained from a place called Madhuban in Ghosi Teshil of Mau district of Uttar Pradesh. this inscription is related to the Harshvardhan. The language of this inscription is Sanskrit and Script – Brahmi Script. The date of Harshsamvat 25 (631 AD) is mentioned in this Tampatra Inscription.

Oon Swasti. From the great military camp at Kapityika with boats, elephants and horses (it was announced ) there was a Maharaj Narvardhan. (His Mahishi ) Varjani Devi was born to Maharaj Rajyavardhan, who was a great devotee of tatpadanudhyat and Surya. (His Mahishi) Apsara Devi was born to Maharaj Adityavardhan, who was a great devotee of tatpadanudhyat and Surya. He had a son, Parambhattaraka Maharajadhiraj Prabhakarvardhan, born to his Mahishi Mahasengupta Devi. He was also a devotee of tatpadanudhyat and Surya. The Fame of this Maharaj Prabhakarvardhan crossed four seas.
Due to his majesty and love, other rulers used to bow him head. In order to establish the Varnashrama religion of this Maharaj, he used his force and put an end to the sufferings of the people like the Sun. (His Mahisi) Yamsomati Devi with Vimal fame was born Paramasugat and his equally benevolent Parambhattaraka Maharajadhiraj Rajyavardhan.
He was also a great worshiper of Tatpadanudhyat and Surya. The fibers of his bright fame spread throughout the Bhuvanandam. He made the Lokpalis of Kuber, Varun, Indra etc. fast, donating money, land, etc. to the petitioners, satisfied with the truth and the way. His character was superior to his ancestors.
