Relationship between Harshvardhan and Kashmir
Kashmir was dominated by Harsh. Harsh heard that Lord Buddha has a tooth in Kashmir. He himself came to the border of Kashmir and asked for permission from the King of Kashmir to see and worship the teeth.
But the Buddhist Union did not accept it. On this, the King of Kashmir himself meditated and turned the tooth in front of Harsh. On seeing him, Shiladitya i.e. Harsh became reverential, and using force, took the tooth with him. But this statement does not lead to any conclusion about Harsh’s conquest of Kashmir. The king of Kashmir was Buddhist.
